Manly and Rugby League

We spent the day in Manly on Sunday as I ended up having to buy a beach outfit since I'm so good at not preparing for things. This wasn't particularly optimal considering tee shirts were $50. $50! I can't remember the last time I even purchased a tee shirt. Stealing from friends or cleaning up on promotions are my usual go-to. Last night we also went to the opener of the Rugby League World Cup. This was almost exciting as an American Football game. And when I say almost I mean not even close. At one point the wave was going around the stadium for what seemed like a full 10 minutes. This only occurs when there is nothing else of interest going on. I think it fizzled out only because a fight broke out in the grandstand. Still though, this event was much more interesting than an AFL game which provides entertainment only when the referee does the backwards throw in. By far the most ridiculous thing I've seen in professional sport.

Thought it was about time...

So I've created this blog for those of you who have shown interest in knowing what's going on with my life and who keep asking for pictures. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to send stories and such individually because I really am that popular and can't keep straight who I inform of various occurrences.

I'm planning on updating this on lazy Monday or Tuesday evenings when I really have nothing else to do. Well at least until summer really kicks in and then I plan on dominating the beach scene every night. And by dominating I mean playing pool at a local dive and talking about the chicks we're not talking to.

Since the first posting I'm assuming is the hardest to get out of way, hopefully this will start a steady flow of entertaining tidbits and takes on life here in Sydney. I'm not a big photographer so most of the pics I'll just be pawning off as my own. And unless you live here you'll have no way of knowing the difference. These pictures were taken as the sun was going down on Bondi Beach after the City to Surf run.
